I would describe the island of Crete as “a portrayal of its past settlers in chronological order.” While Crete is now on the side of modernization -countless ancient ruins made by the Greeks (and other latter settlers) are still intact. If you’re a fan of diversity and architecture, this place is a good suggestion.
Tourists and travel bloggers like nomadicmatt who once visited the Island have praised the style of houses nestling along the coast. The style of houses here in Crete mirrors that of the designs of Venetians, Minoans, Ottomans and naturally –the Greeks.
The best way to enjoy the view of Crete is to hire a boat, walk around the coastline or sit outside a local taverna located near the coast while sipping a glass of Raki.
